On Sunday 12th June 2011, Sheffield Shotokan hosted a First Aid Course as part of a policy of training to ensure that Instructors and selected students were actively involved in the safety procedures expected by the Sheffield Shotokan within it's training sessions.

As part of a growing community of Karate Clubs within the South Yorkshire area, the course was also attended by members of The Japan Karate Association Sheffield, South Yorkshire Shotokan and Revolution Gym Rotherham.

The Session was taken by Sensei Dave Bettles, who is himself, a 7th Dan Shotokan Karate Instructor and Chief Instructor of the BKDF. Sensei Bettles is also a training provider for Fire Safety, Manual Handling, and Dealing with Conflict and Aggression Courses. He can be contacted on 07425 155948 to arrange any of these courses.

The Session was enjoyed by all and there are some pictures in the Gallery.
